Second Exposure, Inc. was founded by Bruce Crawford in
February 1987 to serve the Medical Diagnostic Equipment industry. Mr. Crawford, a graduate
of Virginia Military Institute 1976 and holder of a Masters degree form New York
University in Madrid Spain 1979, had been successful in the medical marketplace since May
1983 and brought his experience in Latin America to the newly formed corporation. Mr.
Crawford has also been a member since 1993 of the International Business Committee of the
World Trade Center in New Orleans.
Second Exposure, Inc. is located in metropolitan New Orleans, Louisiana within close
proximity to all major transportation means: truck, rail, air and marine. The corporate
office is in Madisonville, Louisiana and its warehouse facilities are situated dockside on
the Mississippi River. Second Exposure, Inc. can perform all the activities necessary for
a successful turnkey project: manpower to removal equipment, storage and crating
facilities, refurbishment centers, freight forwarders and ship handlers, and also, ready
access to the consular offices of the predominant industrial nations of the world.
Second Exposure,, Inc. specializes in the purchase and resale of
medical imaging equipment from all modalities: CT Scanners, MRI, Cardiac Cath Labs, R/F
systems, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Surgical C-Arms and tables, and also
Anesthesia systems. These systems are available used or refurbished to like new
condition. Approximately sixty percent of annual sales are export, with the majority
having a Latin American destination. At present, Second Exposure, Inc. has enjoyed its
greatest success in Argentina. Through its exclusive distributor Atilio J. Marchetti,
S.A., they have an installed base of 87 reconditioned Philips Cardiac Cath Labs. Other
export destinations are: Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, China, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia
and Venezuela.
